You don’t have to be falling apart to reach out for some support!

Maybe you’ve been telling yourself it’s not that bad. Maybe you’ve been carrying it so long it just feels normal now… and you’re not even sure you’re allowed to ask for help. So let’s talk about what reaching out actually looks like — because it’s far gentler than the story running in your head.

Whatever brought you here…

Maybe it’s the worry that won’t switch off. The sadness you can’t quite explain. The stress that’s quietly become your normal. Grief that’s still sitting heavy. Something between you and someone you love that keeps going round in the same circles. Or just a feeling that something isn’t right… even if you couldn’t find the words for it if I asked.

Whatever it is, you’ve probably been managing it for a while now — telling yourself you’ll deal with it later, that other people have it worse, that you really should be able to sort this out on your own.

Here’s the truth: you don’t have to wait until breaking point. And you don’t need the perfect words for what’s wrong. You just have to be tired enough of carrying it alone.

Why starting therapy can feel so hard

It’s not that you don’t know it might help. It’s the quieter stuff underneath — the thoughts that keep your hand off the phone…

“I should be able to handle this myself.”
Maybe you always have. So asking can feel like admitting defeat… when really, it’s one of the bravest and most sensible things a person can do.

“I’m not bad enough to need this.”
You look around and decide someone else needs it more. But support isn’t a prize you have to earn by falling apart first.

“What if I’m judged?”
Maybe you’ve been made to feel small before. This is not that. There’s no version of your story that will make me think less of you.

Every one of those thoughts is completely understandable… and not one of them means you shouldn’t reach out.

What actually happens when you reach out

Nobody is going to rush you, or throw you in at the deep end. Here’s how it really goes…

First — getting in touch.
A phone call, or a message through the website — whatever feels easier. You don’t need to explain everything, or have your thoughts in any kind of order. Just letting me know you’d like to make an appointment is enough… and I’ll take it from there.

Then — your first session, at your pace.
You don’t need it all figured out. You don’t need a tidy summary of “what’s wrong.” You just turn up as you are — and we go at your pace, never faster than feels safe.

Always — no judgement. Not a scrap of it.
I’m not here to assess you, or quietly add you to a list of problems. I’m here to sit alongside you — with genuine warmth — and help you set some of that weight down.

Throughout — you stay in the driver’s seat.
This is your space. You decide what we talk about, how deep we go, and what happens next. Nothing here is done to you.

One more thing — from me to you…

I won’t pretend I’m speaking to you purely from behind a desk. I’ve walked through my own hard chapters in this life — the kind that teach you how heavy things can get, and what it takes to find your way back. It’s a big part of why I do this work the way I do… with you, never above you.

You are not broken. Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to face it on your own… and you don’t have to wait until it gets worse.

When you’re ready — not a moment before — I’m here.
