PSYCH-K™ is a powerful method of transforming limiting beliefs into supportive beliefs at the subconscious level of the mind. In addition, PSYCH-K™ can remove stress from your body down to the cellular level. Self-limiting beliefs create self-sabotaging behaviours. Our beliefs are the precursors of all thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and they are our automatic programs that we are not often aware of.

In fact, your reality is created by your beliefs, which are the result of our subconscious programming. Since our ‘life script’ is written within our first 7 years of life, it is understood that our life script is in fact largely written by others. Especially by our parents or primary caregivers at that time. This life script is then firmly embedded at a subconscious level. PSYCH-K™ is a non-invasive, interactive process of creating fast transformative changes at a subconscious level. How does PSYCH-K™ work?

Nearly all human behaviour (both constructive and destructive) originates from the subconscious mind. Neuroscience research has shown that 95% of our mind is actually subconscious, and only 5% is conscious. So when we try and change old belief systems through talk therapy alone, we are actually communicating to the wrong part of the mind!

Even though your conscious mind believes one thing, often the subconscious mind believes another, and this often leads to self-sabotaging behaviours. Trying to make changes at a conscious level can happen, but it takes a long time and requires lots of effort and willpower. This is because it’s only operating at 40 to 50 bits per second. However, when we communicate directly to the subconscious mind, it is processing information at least 500times faster, up to 4 billion bits!

Research & Application

Based on extensive years of brain dominance research; the theoretical explanation to describe the effectiveness of PSYCH-K™ is that it balances the qualities of the left and right sides of the brain. This creates a ‘whole-brain state’. By accessing the ‘whole-brain state’ – PSYCH-K™ provides methods to quickly identify your limiting beliefs, and change them into beliefs that will then support you in all areas of your life. This is done by using various PSYCH-K™ balances. In PSYCH-K™ sessions, we establish a direct communication to the subconscious mind by using muscle testing. Applied kinesiologists and chiropractors have long employed the use of the manual muscle test, as an indicator of altered physiological function in the nervous system.

Certain whole brain body postures and particular movements are then utilised to create neuron firings in both brain hemispheres, creating a ‘whole brain state’ in which subconscious programs can change. This ‘whole-brain state’ is the fundamental component to re-writing and replacing self-limiting beliefs with new self-enhancing beliefs. This in turn reduces stress, and helps you to access your ‘full response potential’ when meeting life’s challenges.

Bruce Lipton is a renowned biologist and researcher in epigenetics, and author of the well-known book: ‘The Biology of Belief’. In his book Bruce illustrates how important it is to have supportive beliefs about yourself, others and the world at large. And he describes how this actually influences us at a DNA level. What are PSYCH-K™ Balances?

PSYCH-K™ Balances are the actual processes and techniques used to change our subconscious limiting beliefs, which drive all of our behaviours and emotional reactions to given situations. Depending upon the type of balance required, these involve simple and non-invasive body postures, specific movements, or breath work.  All PSYCH-K™ Balances result in what is known as the ‘whole-brain state’. This state is characterised by coherent, symmetrical activity of both hemispheres of the cerebral cortex.  This allows you to respond to the given situation with the full potential of your mind and improved cognitive function.

There are many types of PSYCH-K™ Balances that are used for specific intentions or desired outcomes identified in therapy, such as:

  • ​Belief Balances change specific limiting beliefs and/or core beliefs, that lead to self-destructive behaviours and hold you back in life.
  • Transformation of your perceptions of certain stressful situations, anxiety triggers, phobias, or traumatic events.
  • A Life Bonding Balance which resolves any ‘traumas of birth’ and ‘fears around death’.
  • A Relationship Balance is used to identify, offer insight, and transform challenging issues between you and another person. Or between you and another entity (eg. a business, house, money etc).
  • A Rapport Balance improves your communication skills with others, both verbally and non-verbally.

Can PSYCH-K™ heal or cure medical conditions?

PSYCH-K™ is not designed to diagnose medical conditions, nor to treat, heal, or cure any illness, disease, disability, or medical diagnosis. The PSYCH-K™ process is strictly used for the modification of underlying beliefs. When utilised in the area of health, the process engages with the natural, subconscious self-healing processes in order to complement, but not replace, medical treatment and care by qualified medical practitioners.

Having said that, the field of Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) holds great promise in many ways, as it explains the connection between the mind and the immune system, incorporating methods to use the body’s inherent healing abilities. During the past thirty years there has been a great deal of scientific research showing how the mind and body respond to each other, demonstrating that emotional and psychological states translate into altered responses in the chemical balance of the body, particularly in the immune system.​
